Project “Begegnungsbus”
The Begegnungsbus is a mobile initiative by de.perspektive e.V. that reaches people directly in their everyday environments. The aim of the project is to create low-threshold access to educational, cultural, and participation-oriented formats.
Many people do not use existing services due to access barriers. The Begegnungsbus addresses exactly this issue: it brings information, exchange, and initial participation opportunities directly into public spaces.
Project goal
The project aims to create concrete access opportunities and enable social participation. Through outreach work, people are reached, informed, and actively guided into further services.
Content and implementation
The Begegnungsbus operates regularly in different districts, especially in areas with limited access to existing services. The following formats are implemented on site:
• short workshops and creative introductory activities
• dialogue and exchange formats
• information about projects and participation opportunities
• direct outreach and individual guidance into further services
The bus functions as a bridge between public space and the services of de.perspektive e.V.
Target group
The project is particularly aimed at:
• young people and young adults up to 27 years old
• people with disabilities
• people with a migration background
• individuals with limited access to educational and participation opportunities
Approach
The Begegnungsbus works in an outreach, low-threshold, and needs-oriented way. Through personal contact and direct presence in local communities, barriers are reduced and trust is built.
The project combines first contact with long-term participation by not only reaching people but actively integrating them into further programs.
Impact
The Begegnungsbus creates concrete access to information, education, and social participation. It strengthens inclusion, fosters encounters, and supports the long-term integration of participants into follow-up projects.
